ezQuake Manual: Input - Keyboard Variables ... This variable sets multiplier by which your "cl_yawspeed" (how fast you turn) is multiplied when running (+speed).

m_yaw is a different command that affects the horizontal sens of you mouse. cl_yawspeed affects the sens of +left or +right. and yes i believe it was taken out from the game.
